The walking convict can be sentenced to one year and a fine of up to 1 thousand rupees or both.

Unnecessarily pulling a chain in the middle of a train on a train can cost anyone. Chain pulling may result in winding up to the jail from paying the fine. In such a situation, you should know the rules of pulling the chain in the train so that you can avoid any penalty.

Under what circumstances can you pull the train chain-

-If a hitchhiker (over 60 years of age) or a child misses and starts the train
-Train fires
-The elderly or disabled person is taking time to board the train and let the train go
-Suddenly someone's health deteriorates in a bogey (seizure or heart attack).
-In case of train snatching, theft or robbery

This is how it works: Earlier the train bogies were chained everywhere on the walls, but due to misuse, the railways reduced their number. Now they are given only in the middle of every bogey. The alarm chains are attached to the main brake pipe of the train. This pipe carries air pressure, which makes the train move at a high speed. But during chain pulling, this air escapes. The speed of the train slows down due to the decrease in air pressure, after which the loco pilot stops it.
